The 411 - Terms of service

Please thoroughly read through my
Policies and etiquette below

Studio Policies + Etiquette
By calling or scheduling your appointment online, you are indicating that you understand and accept these terms and conditions stated in the Studio Policies.

Arrival Time

  • Please arrive 5-10 minutes early before your scheduled appointment, this will provide time to use the restroom, allowing you to check-in and discuss goals for the session. If you do arrive late, do not expect to receive your full allotted appointment time.

  • New guests will be asked to complete a HIPPA-compliant confidential health questionnaire, which will be emailed to you prior to your initial phone consult. You may be asked to update your information on a regular basis. All information collected is intended with your well-being in mind, this information is not shared with any third parties, and will only be released with your permission.

Late Arrival Policy
Your appointment time is as important to me as it is to you. In an effort to ensure that each Gettys Muscle Therapy client, I endeavor to stick to a strict schedule. I understand that life happens, however, treatments will require an abbreviation or rescheduling if you arrive late. Treatment will end on time to ensure the next client is not delayed, and the full price of your treatment will be charged. Late arrival may result in a shortened treatment time to ensure that the next guest is not delayed.

Appointment Reminders
Ultimately it is your responsibility to remember your appointment time, however, Gettys Muscle Therapy will provide 2 courtesy reminders, 48 and 24 hours prior to your scheduled appointment via email or text message, based on your preference (standard scheduling preference will include both a text message and email).

Cancellation and Refund Policies

  • Your appointments are very important to me and are reserved especially for you. I understand that unanticipated events happen occasionally in everyone’s life. Business meetings, project deadlines, flight delays, car problems, snowstorms, and illness are just a few of the reasons why one might consider canceling an appointment. In my desire to be effective and fair to all of my clients, and out of consideration for their time and mine, I have adopted the following policies... Should you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, I respectfully request at least 48-hour notice. Please understand that when you forget or cancel your appointment without giving enough notice, I miss the opportunity to fill that appointment time, and other clients miss the opportunity to receive services.

  • My Online Booking System sends out 2 reminders, 48 and 24 hours in advance. Please understand that it is your responsibility to remember your appointment dates and times to avoid late arrivals, missed appointments, and the cancellation fee. Because services are reserved for you exclusively, a cancellation fee will apply. In the event that I do not receive the required notice for adjustments and cancellations, the following fees will be applied to your card or alternatively, billed out to you.

  • Notification given at least 48 hours prior to your appointment will receive no charges.

  • Notification given less than 24 hours prior to appointment time will result in a 50% charge for the service booked.

  • Failure to no-show your appointment will result in a 97% charge of the reserved service amount. If you arrive more than 15 minutes late for your appointment it is considered a no-show and you will be charged the cancellation fee.

  • Please note that chargebacks on credit cards for late notice cancellations fees will result in the refusal of future services at Gettys Muscle Therapy.

Last Minute Exceptions
Please cancel if you feel you are getting a cold, or are already sick. You can be contagious (even in the beginning stages of a cold). I want to be considerate of my other clients by not passing along a cold to them or canceling their appointments because I caught your cold. Additionally, a massage when you're sick can spread the illness more efficiently. Don't make yourself worse!

 COVID 19 PROTOCOLS & PROCEDURES

My dear clients,

I have worked diligently in preparing the studio for everyone’s safety. While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same: my commitment to your health and well-being and amazing, effective massage treatments!

I will continue to follow the universal precautions on the sanitation and practice guidelines recommended by the California Massage Therapy Council (CAMTC), Federation of State Massage Therapy Boards (FSMTB), along with infection control recommendations made by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). If you only knew what these guidelines entailed, you would wonder what more could I be doing! As we navigate our way with COVID-19, I will responsibly adhere to the state and county-required guidelines. And I ask that you do the same for the health and safety of everyone who walks through our door.

Covid-19 Srudio Etiquette:

  • Please do not arrive if you are feeling ill if you have been exposed to Covid-19 within the last 14 days, or if you are experiencing symptoms. Symptoms of Covid-19 include:

  • Fever over 100.4 degrees

  • Chills/shakes

  • Difficulty breathing/shortness of breath

  • Dry cough

  • Sore throat

  • Sneezing

  • Skin Rashes or skin changes

  • Sudden loss of taste or smell

  • Gastrointestinal upset

  • All clients are required to be vaccinated and show proof of vaccination. I am making medical exceptions for individuals who are at risk for an adverse reaction because of an allergy to one of the vaccine components or medical conditions. If you are one of these individuals, please contact me directly prior to scheduling an appointment.

  • All clients will be required to fill out my Covid-19 questionnaire and waiver. Failure to do so will result in the cancellation of your appointment.

  • Only clients receiving a service or picking up products will have access to the studio. No guests allowed. Minors may be accompanied by one adult.

  • I ask all clients to wear a face mask (covering the nose and mouth) upon entering and leaving the studio. If you are receiving a facial treatment, you may remove it for the actual service but the mask must be worn as you leave the room. I will also wear a face mask during the entire service.

  • All tools, equipment, and commonly touched surfaces will be sanitized with a disinfectant before and after each client.

  • All payments for treatment must be completed prior to the session. Payments will be through touchless electronic systems via Square invoice emails, Venmo, Paypal, or Zelle. Cash is also preferable and will be needed before the session.

  • These protocols will continue to be refined and adjusted as needed, and I will keep you informed every step of the way.

Though treatment times, amenities, and even the studio will differ, I am dedicated to providing the same attention and care to your massage treatments. But I must stress the serious nature we are all in, as COVID-19 can be asymptomatic and still be contagious. There is no way to protect ourselves from this virus completely, and because of this, I must take every precaution necessary to ensure my safety and the safety of all of my clients. Please answer the Covid-19 Intake questions truthfully. Failure to do so could put others at risk, including me, and additionally, there is the possibility of me having to close my business and my partner's business once again to quarantine properly. This is a time when we must work together more than ever and do everything asked so we can do our best to protect each other.
